Sunglasses for the day;
Moonglasses for night.
They proposed us to join their exhibition customizing one of their sunglasses in a really short time project, and we had in mind to make some usable alteration, not a totally new frame, so we used some photoluminescent ink on acetate to draw the design of the Garbi model. This ink, which glows in the dark, works during the day as an element of contrast on the black frame while it is being charged just to show all its splendor at night. As graphic designers, we chosen this minor and subtle intervention as a gestural stroke.
In this exhibition, 15 designers and illustrators from Valencia, Spain, were invited to participate. Besides us, also joined Boke Bazán, Borja Garcia, Carla Fuentes, Dani Nebot, Dídac Ballester, Emma Laurin, Gallén + Ibañez, Hector Merienda, Hector Serrano, MacDiego, Modesto Granados, Odosdesign, Pepe Gimeno and Tom Pandé.
Pepita Lumier gallery hosted this exhibition.
